Mission Bay - South Shores

09:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Captain: Shari Sehlhorst and Megan Flaherty , SeaWorld Adventure Park San Diego , San Diego Audubon Society

Meet at the South Shores Boat Launch by the restrooms.

From I-5 South: Exit Sea World Drive. Head west (turn right). Make a right on South Shores Park. Follow signs to Boat Ramp and look for table by the restrooms.

All volunteers should wear comfortable closed toed shoes and sun protection. Help reduce waste by bringing your own reusable water bottle, gardening or work gloves, and a bucket to collect litter. Come prepared to pull weeds like iceplant and mustard to protect the endangered Nuttall's lotus (a native dune plant). We will provide all of the necessary supplies (gloves, water, sunscreen and snacks), but recommend that volunteers come prepared in long pants and closed toed shoes and that they bring a reusable water bottle.

Note! Every participant in CCD needs to sign a waiver; anyone under the age of 18 needs a parent or guardian signature to participate! Download English waiver here. Descargar renuncia de demanda en espanol aqui

Reduce waste at this year's cleanup by bringing along your own bucket, work gloves, and reusable water bottle. Many of our sites strive to be "zero waste" this year and you can help them!
