City Heights - Olivia/47th St. Canyon

Thorn St and 47th St, east of Menlo Ave. San Diego, CA 92105

DIRECTIONS: From I-5 South, merge onto I-8 E. Merge onto CA-15 S toward 40th Street. Take the University Ave exit and take the University Ave ramp. Turn Left onto University Ave, and turn Right onto Fairmount Ave. Go 5 blocks south on Fairmount and Turn left (east) on Thorn St at Monroe Clark Middle School and go 4 blocks east to Menlo Ave. Event site is a short walk to the canyon barricade at the dead end of Thorn St. Parking is plentiful on Thorn between Chamoune and Menlo Ave intersections.

Volunteers should wear closed toed shoes and sunscreen/hat. Additional invasive plant removal projects as well as litter removal.
