2019 Results!

In just three hours today, more than 6,500 volunteers cleared nearly 145,000 pounds (72.5 tons) of waste and debris from streets, canyons, parks and the coastline in communities across San Diego County for the 35th annual Coastal Cleanup Day, organized by the nonprofit I Love A Clean San Diego. The day’s environmental protection effort took place at 107 sites around the region and prevented the equivalent of 5,500 garbage trucks emptying their contents into the ocean.

Registration is not yet open! A complete list of cleanup locations and site details will be posted beginning in August when online registration will be open for volunteers. Check back for updates and to sign up for the site of your choice.

DIRECTIONS:
From I-5, exit at Sea World Drive and head west. Merge onto W Mission Bay Drive via the ramp to Ingraham St/Mission Beach. Slight left onto Ingraham St. Turn right onto Crown Point Drive. Turn right on to Moorland Drive, the last entrance to the park. Turn left on to Corona Oriente Road, and park in the last parking lot. Meet on the grass northeast of the parking lot and playground on the north end of the park.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Parking may be limited due to a nearby festival; please carpool or use alternative transportation when possible. Make sure you budget your time to find parking that morning.
