2019 Results!

In just three hours today, more than 6,500 volunteers cleared nearly 145,000 pounds (72.5 tons) of waste and debris from streets, canyons, parks and the coastline in communities across San Diego County for the 35th annual Coastal Cleanup Day, organized by the nonprofit I Love A Clean San Diego. The day’s environmental protection effort took place at 107 sites around the region and prevented the equivalent of 5,500 garbage trucks emptying their contents into the ocean.

Registration is not yet open! A complete list of cleanup locations and site details will be posted beginning in August when online registration will be open for volunteers. Check back for updates and to sign up for the site of your choice.

DIRECTIONS:
Suggested Parking: northern parking lot, off of Skyline Drive (adjacent to 6401 Skyline Drive, San Diego, CA 92114). Meeting Location: Picnic table area, south of parking lot. Follow sidewalk past the recreation center.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Additional Activities: • Sand raking the playground to filter out the cigarette butts and trash • Raking and bagging leaves • Painting the boarder of the playground • Painting the comfort station (lower bathrooms)
